“Pranzo Siciliano 2” is the typical regional lunch with pasta and a Sicilian “Amaro” (digestive liqueur).

The pack contains:
“Paccheri” pasta, made by Fontanazza farm with 100% Sicilian durum wheat (Timilia or Tumminia); with a brown color and a distinctly typical Mediterranean taste, this breed of pasta has the characteristic shape of large macaroni.
Dried tomato pesto, by Nasonte; this ready-made sauce of sicily tradition, prepared with sun-dried tomatoes, can make any pasta dish special, better in combination with paccheri; it is also delicious on bruschetta or, alternatively, on boiled or steamed fish Amaro delle Terre del Falco, is an herbal liqueur made with 100% Sicilian ingredients and ideal to drink as a digestif.




  • Sicilian durum wheat pasta: made from Timilia or Tumminia durum wheat flour, a particular type of wheat, known for its organoleptic properties. Rich in vitamin B and mineral salts, it protects the integrity of the cardiovascular system. It is a wholemeal flour that contains many trace elements of wheat germ and bran; it has a high protein value and a low gluten index.
  • Pesto di pomodoro secco : This preparation is ideal for seasoning pasta, giving life to exceptional dishes, with great flavor and a very intense scent, with all the nutritional benefits associated with its ingredients. Tomato is, in fact, rich in lycopene, useful for preserving the health of the skin and sight.
  • The Amaro delle Terre del Falco is made with a slow infusion of Sicilian aromatic herbs that favour digestion. It goes perfectly with desserts and fruit desserts and is usually the perfect ending to a meal. It has a velvety taste, a mix of bitter on the first sip and sweet on the finish. It is served cold, even with ice if desired.

  • Paccheri are very versatile. Ideal for the preparation of first courses: they can be prepared with dried tomatoes, au gratin with meat sauce, stuffed or alternatively with seafood.
  • Pesto di pomodoro secco  goes perfectly with paccheri. Alternatively, it can be used to prepare delicious bruschetta, to dress succulent salads or to add flavor to boiled or steamed fish.
  • Amaro delle Terre del Falco is the perfect digestif, the best choice for the conclusion of a meal.
  • Paccheri: once the package has been opened, it can be closed with a clothes peg and stored in the pantry.
  • Pesto di pomodoro secco: after opening the package, keep it in the fridge and use it within 3 days.

About this region

This region is located in the center of the Mediterranean sea and is also its largest island. Sicily is surrounded by the west of the Ionian Sea, the north of the Strait of Sicily and the south of the Tyrrhenian Sea. Palermo is its capital and one of the oldest Italian cities. History and tradition, art and culture, sea and mountains, those are the gems of Sicily.

So Sicily is as rich as its own history. Looking at the past allows us to understand the vibrant culinary tradition that is a result of the union of different cultures all over the time. Due to this, discovering Sicilian flavours is definitely an incredible trip around the whole world.

Culinary traditions move from the spicy taste of arabic dishes to countless recipes using tomatoes of the Spanish period to the best ingredientes of the Mediterranean diet. Sea salt, extra virgin olive oil, hard wheat bread and pasta are combined with blue fish and seasonal vegetables in a typical dish accompanied with local wine. Ricotta and cheese are inevitable products in Sicilian cooking and they can be found even in desserts enriched with dried and glazed fruit as a kind of art baking. Buon appetito in Sicily!


This pack is the result of  a careful selection and research process. Among the Sicilian specialties included in this pack, three companies from the territory of Caltanissetta (central Sicily) were selected.

  • The “paccheri ” pasta from the Fontanazza farm is made from Sicilian wheat flour (tumminia or timilia) which gives the pasta a truly unique flavor and color.
  • The Pesto di pomodoro secco , by Nasonte, is a pesto that reminds us of the simplicity of the past. Made with few and healthy ingredients, its flavor faithfully reflects the tradition and goodness of a homemade pesto.

The Amaro delle Terre del Falco comes from the slow infusion of Sicilian herbs, becoming the perfect ally at the end of a meal, especially if enjoyed in company.
